Weekends are fun.

Well haven't I procrastinated on posts! Not really, I just have been busy with school and hanging out with friends. I actually made time in my planner to sit down and write or else this blog would have been pushed to the back of my to do list.

What have I been up to? Well, besides the mundane routine of writing, research, and editing for classes, nothing much besides hanging out with friends the past 2 weeks. Last friday (November 1), my best friends and I took part of the 5K fun run, Bad Prom Run. It' was fun, but hard to run or even attempt to jog with there being 4,000 participants according to the run announcer. The run itself was held at night featuring different prom themes with music. There was even a place to take after the run, like there was at regular high school prom. I suggest everyone try to participate in the run in your city. Afterwards we went to iHop and had these huge breakfasts. I know, healthy right? We weren't the only ones either, ha! My pictures are actually posted on Instagram if y'all would like to take a look at those.

Now, the concert that I had been looking forward to for 2 months finally happened this past Saturday! I had purchased the concert tickets back on September 14 and the actual date of the concert was November 9th. Yes, I patiently waited for this day to arrive. Who did I go see? It was the Eli Young Band House Party! It was held at the Texas Rangers Ballpark, the first stand alone concert at the ballpark. Apparently there was over 20,000 people in attendance. I believe it, they originally planned for the infield and 4 sections of seating on the bottom level of the stadium to sell, then they sold out and eventually opened it up all the way to the 3rd level of seating. It was so hard to pick out an outfit that was cute but weather appropriate since I knew the temperature was going to drop. Finally satisfied with what I was wearing for the night with my best friends in tow, we got to enjoy the music of Easton Corbin, Thompson Square, Josh Abbott Band, and of course Eli Young Band. There was 2 special guests that sang with EYB that night. Any guesses? Well, it was Pat Green and Lucy Hale! Yes, Lucy Hale as in Aria Montgomery from Pretty Little Liars! She sang part of the song "Even If It Breaks Your Heart." She has an amazing voice, and I can't wait for her album to come out. It was such a fun night although it was quite chilly. We wrapped up the night for a late night eating fest at Cafe Brazil in Addison. I'll post photo's from that night below.
