As I stated in a previous post, I really don't know what will happen in 2014. I don't have much of a plan other than apply for a job, hoped to get hired, and then well, whatever happens. It's so abstract that I feel that a lot of my New Year's Resolutions will get accomplished for the first time ever.
So here they are my 2014 New Year's Resolutions.
- Go to the gym almost daily. Minimum of 4 days a week. (I have to attend 2 weddings and be part of the wedding party in 1). Also for health reasons.
- Stop constantly checking my Twitter feed when I’m with friends.
- Stop having my iPhone with me while eating dinner with my family.
- Get more sleep. I think being in college for the past 5 years has caused my sleeping patterns to be not normal. Running on 3-5 hours of sleep just isn’t the best way to live my life. I’m going to shoot for 8 hours. I’ll be turning 25-years-old in 2014 and coffee and no sleep is taking a toll.
- Begin writing a book. I love books, I love reading and admire all the writers that publish e-books and then go on to be best selling authors. I think/believe that I have it in me to be a novelist. Will it be good? I hope so.
- Finally commit to getting that tattoo I’ve wanted for like the 5 years. Either the Egyptian Hieroglyphic Ankh (key of life) or the nerd in me really wants Harry Potter’s Deathly Hallows symbol.
- Drink less coffee and more tea. I know I drink entirely too much coffee. I always claim i have antioxidants, but the caffeine is quite outrageous. I still want to keep my gold member status at Starbucks so Iced Passion Tea or Hot.
- Cook more at home and less drive-thru. I actually enjoy cooking, do I enjoy the mess that happens when I cook? No way! But it's a lot healthier than hitting up the drive-thu even though it's very convenient. I get sick more often then not when I eat out too much, I suspect because of all the msg in the food.
- Dedicate more time to this very blog! I want more readers, more feedback, more of everything. I want to take it to the next level. I write about my life on here, albeit a small part of it. My niche: My lifestyle. I don't want just a fashion blog, just a travel blog, just a cooking blog. It's family, friends, and me and everything that happens in a 20-something post grad and the struggles and how I live in the city.
There you have it guys, my 2014 resolutions! Here's to a big, questionable, unpredictable, and my year to turn a quarter century.
Happy New Years readers/followers. Hope you keep reading my blog and follow my life.
Until next time,
Felipa xoxo
