This morning's smoothie was different front my past smoothies since it did not contain any kale. Today I used organic baby spinach leaves which is what I originally used to use until I decided what the big deal was with kale. I put blueberries and banana in today's smoothie which really wasn't much of a green smoothie since blueberries tend to stain everything with their pigmented color.

Blueberry and Banana Spinach Smoothie

  • 1/4 cup of Skim Milk

  • 1 whole medium-sized banana (the riper the sweeter the banana)

  • 1 handful of Organic Baby Spinach

  • 1/4 cup of 0% fat-free Plain Greek Yogurt (I used Greek Gods from Whole Foods)

  • 1 teaspoon of Chia Seeds (I buy the dark ones from the loose bulk size isle at Whole Foods. These are a great source for omega-3, lowers blood sugar, and fills you more which leads to weight loss. These actually expand in your stomach making you feel fuller.)
