Weekend Wrap-Up

Hello there readers!

It's been quite the busy week and weekend! I've been busy with getting things ready and making checklists to make sure I take everything I need to for the wedding I'll be in on Saturday. I will also be traveling on Friday morning down to Austin, Cedar Park, to be exact for the wedding. I'll make sure to take loads of pictures to post here.

This weekend I managed to go to 6 different cities. Thankfully, I live within 10 minutes from each one. I went to Grapevine to do a little Christmas shopping, which I ended up just buying stuff for me, thank God I have still have next week to finish my holiday shopping. If you are from the Dallas-Fort Worth Area, you may know that Grapevine is the Christmas Capital of Texas. The place has Christmas decorations EVERYWHERE! I unfortunately didn't take any photos, but will be going back soon. If you want to learn more about the holiday happenings in Grapevine, check it out here.

I also went down the road to Coppell and had some delicious BBQ at Hard Eight BBQ. I had brisket, sausage, potato salad, and mac n' cheese. Everyone should go there at least once. It's a little different since you get to choose from the pit and just ask the pit master how much you want (lbs.). I will say this, I'm not a fan of their sauce, I find it to be really strong on the vinegar and sweetness level.
Second stop was JoAnns where I swear everyone and their mom was at. The checkout line was ridiculous! I guess all the crafters where there since the whole store was 60% off.

Third stop was at Emporium Pies. This place is amazing! If you love pies you need to check them out. It's located in the Bishop Arts District in a quaint little house that fits at most 15 people. The pies are huge and the slice is only $5, but besides being delicious, the packaging is ADORABLE. Check them out here. I swear that that both the Apple Pie and Coconut Pie are the size of Chicago Deep Dish Pizzas. They are THAT big.

Today has been a bit of a hectic day, trying to find shoes for the ceremony (haven't bought them yet, eek!) and last minute gift and Ulta Haul. I did however find time to do my nails. I saw this look from both Essie and Julep. A little festive, and I like them, but all I keep thinking is how hard it will be to take off the glitter. I guess I'll worry about that later.

Ulta Haul: Ardell Lashes, Beauty Blender (Similar), NYX Primer (Similar), NYX Eye Brow Sculpting, Sally Hansen

Nail Polish: Orly Bonder, Sally Hansen in Black Out, and Urban Outfitters Gold Dust

Until next time,
Felipa xoxo
