Today, I've decided to give you guys a glimpse of my desk I use to work, both for my blog and my 9-5 job. I've noticed many bloggers and vlogger all have white desks. I'll admit, I'm a bit jealous, but the all black desk I have matches with the rest of my decor and book shelves.

Recently I've been quite obsessed with "gold" everything. So of course, black and gold make an appearance on my desk.

Pictured above, you see at the very top left-handside are my DIY Chalk Mason Jars, my awesome gold stapler by Nate Berkus for Target (I did buy mines from Target, but apparently it's no longer available on their website, which is why I added the additional link). The tape, case, and notebooks I bought at PaperSource. The pen and pencil pictured are from the Target Dollar Spot section. The Gold Macbook Pro Case I purchased from Amazon, which I received today! I've had a turquoise case on it for about 2 years, thought I'd finally matched all my things. And the little blue and gold polk-a-dot 2015 is Eccololtd that I got at Marshalls.

Not pictured? the mess on both ends, ha! When I took this photo, I was currently working on the space to the left of this and using the big second monitor to right of this, along with like 8 new nail polished I have neglected putting in my nail polish rack. I do, try to maintain my desk clean, but after a long work week, well that get's neglected. It looks nice Friday-Tuesday, then just start looking crazy.

What do you guys keep on your desk? How do you keep it clean? Let me know in the comments below.
Hi guys, many that follow me on Instagram, (shameless plus @iamfelipa) have noticed I tend to take a lot of pictures, I don't always use the filters on Instagram because I use other apps or I make those cute little quote pictures too.

Today, I thought I would share my top 5 favorite photo apps I use from daily others on a weekly basis. The image on this blog was actually created with one of the featured apps :). In no particular order, here are my 5 favorite:

  1. PicLab - PicLab is similar to Studio, however it has filters and layers that you can add to images that will turn them into grainy, star-y, hearts, lens flare, etc to you photos. It also offers in-app purchases of different effects.
  2. Studio - Studio is probably the funnest app, where you can add layers and text to any photo. Iv you ever saw Starbucks put those layers of color or texts to their photos on instagram, well those are available for anyone to use on this app. Seriously, it's pretty cool.
  3. VSCOcam - VSCOcam reminds me of a instagram on steroids when it comes to the filters. It comes with standard free ones and then designers/users upload some for purchase. This also becomes a mini, somewhat free, iPhone and iPad photoshop.
  4. Diptic - I use this strictly for collages. I take photos in my photo stream and add them to this and share it on instagram.
  5. Instagram - everyone uses this. Obviously it's one of my favorites.

Example of how the apps look once inside the app:

What are some of y'alls favorites? Anyone's I've might have missed or that I should try? Let me know in the comments :).

P.S.: I'll share this web-app bonus with you guys. CANVA. This is the best thing to ever be created. I use it daily not only for my personal sites, but also for work. This is a website with pre-set templates for almost all social networks and templates for your blog posts. I love it.

Until next time,
Felipa xoxo

Hey there readers!

This weekend I went to the mall to buy my friend her birthday present (it's in February), but I ended up buying more for me than anything else. I just couldn't help myself.

A few months ago on my old blog, I posted a blog about the kind of mascara I like. Well my favorite go-to mascara is Dior Show by Dior. I sadly didn't like the Tom Ford volume mascara, it did nothing but give me clumpy eyelashes :(. A shame considering I forked over $50 for it :(. However on one of my trips to the Neiman Marcus makeup counter, I was given a sample of Yves Saint Laurent's Babydoll Mascara. OMG. I am in love with it! So of course I went to go buy it. I love the bristles on the brush/spoolie. It separates every single eyelash, I SWEAR. I tend to layer my mascara, so I do one, which is what I consider a "base coat" of Dior Show followed by two of the Babydoll. Want to buy it yourself? I suggest going to Neiman Marcus, they always have it in stock, trust me I know, I went to Sephora and they were out of stock at the two I went to.

I have also mentioned I have a bit of an obsession with buying notebooks/journals. Well of course I went to Paper Source and got lost in all the pretty and shiny stuff they sell. I ended up leaving with a new iPhone case (not pictured), washi tape, and a three-piece Secret Garden journal pack.

Lastly, I went for a late lunch date to Zöe's Kitchen and had my favorite, Steak Kabobs.

Today has been fairly uneventful and just a lazy day all together. It's back to work tomorrow and wait for the weekend once again.

P.S.: I'm going to start the Super Shred Diet. 4 meals 2 snacks this week! I wonder if I can actually finish any of the meals. I'm excited for summer!

Until next time,
Felipa xoxo
Today I decided to finally paint the mason jars that I use for organization on my desk. About a month ago, I was browsing through Pinterest and noticed how others had painted their mason jars to match their decor on their desk. My desk and bookshelves are all black, so I decided that I would keep with the theme, but this time with black chalkboard paint.

I bought all materials from Michaels except for the mason jars, those were purchased at Walmart, but to save yourself the trip, you can purchase individual ones at Michaels. The only prepping I did was take a cotton ball and added rubbing alcohol to the outside of the mason jar. I read this online, apparently it's so the paint sticks to the glass, and as far as I can see it worked, the paint has yet to peel off.

Have you ever painted on glass? What are some of your tips? Let me know in the comments.
A little trip to target never hurt anyone, but maybe my bank account. You know it's crazy when you walk out of the store with one bag and out $80. It was worth it.

Gone Girl, Revlon Gel Nail Polish, Sally Hansen Velvet Nail Polish, Moleskine notebooks, The Giver.

In case you are wondering, no, my desk is not a chalkboard, even though I do want to convert it. I do have, however, a black desk. I used free vectors i downloaded of those arrow and manipulated them in Adobe Illustrator. It looks real chalk doesn't it? I lowered the opacity to 60% from the color white to make it more faint.

Has anyone seen these movies? If so, let me know what you think about them!
In my previous blog post, I wrote a recap about my 2014 major events along with some 2015 resolutions. One of my resolutions that I neglected to mention was that I wanted to be closer to Him. By Him, I am referring to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Not so much as to a specific religion, I do identify with being a Catholic though, since I went through the required sacraments. I just wanted to grow in terms of knowing and studying the bible.

I have the worst attention span when I attend mass, so although I am present, I'm not always paying attention. Not to long ago, a friend of mines referred me to the website and app of She Reads Truth. She Reads Truth ( #SheReadsTruth for social media) is a daily devotional app/blog with in-app purchase plans that let you study the bible with THOUSANDS of other women around the world.

For the next few days 19 days, I will be studying and reading scripture with many others that purchased the John plan. It started back on January 1st and runs through the 25th of this month. I love reading how others feel connected to a certain verse of the specific chapter we are currently studying. One of my favorites is Chapter 3 of the Book of John.

I use the in-app NIV (New International Version) Bible, there are other versions like HCSB, KJV, and NASB. I'm also keeping a journal where I'm writing down my favorite versus. I find this the easiest way to memorize scripture, and also being creative. I can't wait to see how many journals I fill up with scripture this year.

A look at my journaling for Day 3 of the John Plan:
Do you participate or read the devotionals in the #SheReadsTruth app or website? Do you journal? If so let me know in the comments!

Until next time,
Felipa xoxo
