Must Have Beauty Product for May

Look at me posting twice in one week! Slowly but surely, getting back to regularly updated content!

Now to my must have product!

Here is my ABOSOLUTE FAVORITE beauty product I've purchased all month!

I finally went to the store and tried out the Diorskin Airflash Matte Touch. It's basically a translucent powder, sans the powder mess. I'm probably late to the party, I've known for a while they have their regular airflash foundation, but I never needed it, since I own a airbrush system.

However, with the ridiculous humidity and weather we have going on here in Dallas even my regular translucent powder wasn't cutting it! My "T-Zone" was ridiculously shiny, which when it's not humid and raining, I don't even have to use matte makeup. I didn't know what to do so I went to the Neiman's Beauty Counter to find a solution ASAP! They had some in stock and I snapped it up real quick! Also, Meriam over at the Northpark Neiman Marcus was EXTREMELY helpful and nice! Seriously y'all, everyone in that store has always had the best attitude and eagerness to help whenever I go.

This stuff is AMAZING. You apply it in a "Z" motion and then it basically acts like a makeup setter. It's actually does have some tint --beige, but you can't tell if that is in your color range. I happen to be a natural beige skin tone so it's perfect. My only dislike is that it gets on your hair and looks white or like you put dry shampoo and it didn't distribute evenly lol.

I say buy it if you suffer from T-Zone probs, but it does come at a price. It's $50, I don't know how long it will last me, but luckily for me, I don't wear makeup unless I'm going to work or out with friends. If I'm out running errands, than I just put a light coating of foundation and a bit powder and I'm out the door. Oh and eyeliner, don't forget the eyeliner.

If you guys live in Dallas, then I'll let you all in on something! Neiman Marcus at NorthPark Center, is hosting it's first ever Project Beauty show! Similar to what Nordstroms Beauty Trend Show.

If you buy a beauty product and purchase a $25 gift card, basically the gift card acts like a ticket to the event, BUT you pick it up the day of the event and use it towards a purchase that day. It'll be all high-end designers with amazing samples and they said the handbags will be better than when they have their fragrance events! I love those by the way. The event is June 13th at 10:30am. Hope to see some of you all there!

Until next time,

Birchbox May Beauty Box

Hey everyone!

It's been quite a few busy weeks, but thankfully with being off for Memorial Day, it gave me a breather from my everyday job to dedicate some time to this little blog of mines :).

Here is the Birchbox I selected for May the Cupcake and Cashmere collaboration. I will say this has been my favorite box I've received in a LONG TIME. Seriously, loved EVERYTHING! I've already used all of the products.

The Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream is really thick. It does say it is concentrated, but I didn't realize how much. It goes on my face nicely, however, there is a residue almost oily left on hands. Also you can feel it when you wash your hands. All in all, I do like it, just not sure I would buy the full size version.

I love all things Whish! They are perfect for pre, during, after shaving. I love the brand! I'm pretty sure I've talked about it before on the blog, too. Seriously, everyone go buy this stuff.

The Chosungah lipstick had a good consistency, however it was PINK, and I'm talking about BARBIE PINK, it honestly didn't flatter my skin tone. Maybe in a different color I would love it, but not this one.

I've received this brand before in my other boxes, love it! This stuff made my hair really smooth despite the humidity we are currently suffering through here in Dallas! Y'all, I have curly hair, the fact that this stuff made my hair stay straight and kink free, that means it's an amazing product. Take it from a girl with curly hair that seems to DOUBLE in thickness and width with humidity.
Confession Time! I've never, ever, had a facial in my life. So what better than this little at home 3 minute peel? I've yet to try it, but I'm totally excited to use it soon. Maybe after seeing some results with this stuff, I'll go get a facial. Using a Groupon of course, I like a good bargain ;).

In my next update, I'll talk about two items I bought over the weekend. One of which, I don't even know why I waited so long to try and buy, and the other just matched my lipstick.

Until next time,
Felipa xoxo

Shoe Subscriptions: ShoeDazzle and JustFab

Hi all!

It's been a while since I've last wrote, because I've been super busy and I've been collecting a few things for newer content. BUT now I'm back and have awesome stuff to share!

Last Sunday, I actually signed up for for ShoeDazzle and JustFab. I'm sure all of y'all have scene the commercials of the woman that gets shows delivered every month for only $39.95. Well thats what I did.  When you first join, you receive 75% off your first pair. I selected 2 wedges, one from each website.

If you become a VIP (basically this is the monthly membership) you get the shoes for $39.95 of your choice + free shipping & returns. If you don't do the VIP, then you still can shop, however the prices are higher and I believe you pay for shipping. You can skip months if you don't find anything you like or just don't have the budget for it. This applies to both programs.

I didn't realize that they both had similar looking shoes until a few days later after I joined. Also when I received the shoes, the JustFab packaging came in a huge box, while ShoeDazzle came in a regular plastic bag just big enough for the shoe box. Another thing, both came with the exact same branding "little pink book" with JustFab's name on the booklet. The receipt was the only thing with the ShoeDazzle branding. I'm not sure what's going on here, but I will cancel my subscription to ShoeDazzle, because I honestly don't need 2 shoe subscriptions especially when they carry the same shoes, well some, not all.

Here are the shoes I bought:

These black wedges are called Merlina from JustFab. I'm a 7.5 in, and I'm not even kidding, every shoe. ALWAYS. However, these are a bit snug and this is probably because I tried them on at the end of the day after walking for hours. My feet sometimes swell a little at the end of the day, but when I did walk in them, they were light and comfy. The heel is nicely padded, so I can see anyone walking with these on for a few hours.

Note: They have the EXACT same design flat sandals at Target. I was like "those familiar, of course, I have the wedge styles!" The little gold embellishment is a little uncomfortable. Just and FYI if you decide to get these, however, these are knew so I'll give an update once I break them in.

These shoes were from ShoeDazzle and called Strawberry. I'm not going to lie, these are super comfortable, and it's probably due to the size of the wedge, but I can probably walk in these for HOURS. I've had similar size boot wedges that I could walk all day in. These also have a nice padded heel for comfort.

Let me know if you subscribe to any of these types of shoe subscription and what you think of the quality and comfort of them in the comments below!

Until next time,
Felipa xoxo
