Wireless SD? No need! Apple has a solution!

I recently have become more interested in photography than before. I even invested in my first "prime lens" instead of using the kit lens on my Canon EOS Rebel T5.

A Little About The Lens I Purchased:

Last week, I went to Fry's and purchased a 24mm Canon Lens for my camera. It wasn't a spur of the moment purchase, I've been eyeing a few of the Canon Prime Lenses for quite a while. After reading up on the different lenses, I settled on the smallest "pancake lens" available within my budget. I've read countless of bloggers' blogs that said the 50mm and 80mm are the best for portraits.

What really sold me on the 24mm one was that, one it's AMAZING at wide angle shots, but also when filming or focusing on subject (person) whether it be a youtube video or an outfit of the day, this little lens blurs the background and adds a little vignette to photographs. I LOVE THAT! Also, it has a very quiet automatic focus, so when you film, there's NO noise if using the camera's built-in mic.

No Need for A Wireless SD Card or Camera:

Now back to the topic at hand. Did you read the title of the blog? Yeah, well I was SERIOUSLY thinking about buying one of those wifi-enabled SD cards, since my Canon T5 doesn't actually have a wireless feature like most newer cameras. Not that it's old, but it is an entry-level DSLR, so not all the bell and whistles are added to this model.

If you every Google the wifi SD cards, they are EXPENSIVE! You can get a 32GB SD cards these days for as little as $8 on Amazon, but these wifi ones run you $40 just for 8GB. NOPE.

Long story short, I found out that the Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader by Apple, is now compatible with any iPhone that is running the most current iOS and is iPhon5 to the newest models. This will make sharing photos faster than I thought possible! It's $31 with tax and free shipping if you live in Texas. I can now buy a lot of cheap SD cards that hold more photos! Also, it makes for quick editing and Instagram sharing if you are on location or what have you and you don't have your laptop with you to transfer photos!

Would you buy this accessory? Let me know in the comments! I'll film a short review of the SD camera reader once it comes in, which it will on Thursday.

JustFab: Vanora Bootie

I obviously love shoes if you haven't already noticed by my previous posts. Today, I received the booties I bought from JustFab. They are the Vanora booties in Taupe. I'll be honest that they look a lot darker they do online, but I'm ok with the color. Also, because I'm a VIP member, the booties only were $39.95 with free shipping.

Becoming a VIP is actually great! You don't have to buy every month. Trust me, I don't feel bad for skipping months because it might be out of my budget, but more often than not, some of the picks, just are not my style.

Vanora Bootie:

The bootie is actually really comfy, a bit narrow, but would fit just fine if you don't have wide feet. I'm not sure if the shoe comes in wide width. I am usually a 7.5, but I always size up on any type of boots, so I ordered an 8.

Some Details from the JustFab site:

A burnished toe detailing, quilted back counter, and low block heel for added comfort. Side zip.
  • Approx. Heel Height: 1.5"
  • Approx. Platform Height: N/A
  • Approx. Shaft Height: N/A
  • Approx. Calf Circumference: N/A
  • Synthetic Upper
  • Man Made Sole
  • Imported
Does anyone else have a shoe subscription? Would you get these booties? Let me know in the comments below :).

Workout Clothes for the New Year

Everyone knows that the New Year always brings out the health nuts out of everyone. If you are like me, you like to look cute at the gym, or at least, have your clothes look cute, because, let's be real, there's nothing cute about sweating.

I tend to buy my gym clothes from everywhere as long as they fit, look good, and that are somewhat affordable. Bellow I give you some of my favorite pieces from a few stores that I usually buy my workout clothes from.

The first store where I get a lot of my clothes is Old Navy. It's affordable, and you don't feel guilty for buying pieces every couple of weeks like I do.

This Agave The North Face jacket provides warmth without the bulk of a Denali sized jacket would. I love this one to wear while going to the gym and it also fits in the little lockers in the locker room (I go to LA Fitness).

Finally, some of my favorite workout pants/capris/shorts are made from Nike. yes, they are a little pricey, but they last you a long time and they are EXTREMELY comfortable and breathable for those hard days at the gym. Nike also happens to be my brand of choice for shoes. I have an insane running shoe collection. They come in so many colors that I just find myself buying them a few time around the year.

What are some of y'alls favorite brands of workout clothes? Let me know in the comments below!

New Year New Blog Design

Hi, there blog friends! The new year has started so as it is my usual tradition, I am debuting a new website design for my blog!

My website is responsive across all platforms! Also, can you believe my blog is now hosted on Blogger? I've switched back and forth many times from Wordpress and Blogger. Recently, I've noticed that blogger now has the ability to have many different templates once only to be achieved if you used Wordpress. Also, most themes for Blogger are only $15 with similar ones available for Wordpress at $45+. I'm not knocking on Wordpress because that's where I started blogging years ago, however, Blogger and Google Domains gives the opportunity to host my website for FREE and only pay $12 a month for my domain name. BARGAIN!

Blogger is a lot simpler to use, nothing terribly fancy about it at all. However, most of the functionality is down on the backend and not all built into the theme making it easier to update and change themes often and not have to worry about loosing settings. This ultimately makes it run faster in terms of loading content. Also, I don't have a cap on the amount of media I load! Yasss!

I can't wait to add more content this year for you guys! I've already got started on my content calendar, so my blog posts won't be so scared as they have the past few months.

Also, how neat is the slider at the top with featured posts?! That's quite possibly my favorite feature of the new website! 2016 is already starting out GREAT!

Let me know what you think of the design :)

Happy New Year Blog Fam!
