Maybelline FitMe Matte + Poreless Foundation

I was recently sent a full sized foundation of Maybelline FitMe Matt+Poreless Foundation thanks to Maybelline and Influenster. I chose the shade 222-True Beige.

I'll be completely honest and say that I had used and still use this foundation. As much as I like high-end "designer" foundations, this one is the only one that really keeps my face from becoming too oily or from wearing down after a long day at the office. I normally use the FitMe in 310-Sun Beige, but it was just a tad orange and more tanned than I currently am. Don't get me wrong, it really is my shade, but only during the summer. This is why I chose to go with the 222 True Beige.

This shade actually turned out to be the EXACT shade my face is without makeup, which gives me that no-makeup makeup look. I have nothing but good things to say about this foundation. It's very blendable and I don't think it's a medium to full-coverage. This is a full on full coverage foundation in my opinion and I LOVE that! This foundation comes in 40 different shades for every skin tone.

Things to be aware of, I used to use a mattifying primer after I moisturized using other foundations. Do NOT use a mattifying primer with this foundation, it will dry the hell out of your face. It's like matte on matte. So, now I use a regular veil moisturising primer and this foundation over it. It does blur pores and is great for combination skin.

I will keep using this foundation until summer comes around, then I'll switch back to my normal 310-Sun Beige, cause you know, tanning.

Until next time,

Dollar Shave Club Not Just For Men!

Last week I finally signed up for the Dollar Shave Club! You know, that subscription for cheap, but high-quality razors target for men. However, it's also now known to be unisex for who actually buys the razors.

I'll start off by saying that I've always loved men's razors because I feel the blades are made to be for SUPER SENSITIVE skin, cause it's supposed to be used for the face, not legs. My go to and only brand that does not cause razor burn for me is the Gillette Venus Swirl 5-blade Razor. Let me tell y'all; the refills are EXPENSIVE! I'm talking $20 for 4 refills when they are on sale at Target. I know that's expensive, but every brand that's not at least 5-blades or from Gillette, I get the worst razor bumps and tend to bleed. Not cute.

So, in an attempt to save money and still have a good quality razor for sensitive skin, I decided to give Dollar Shave Club a chance. I chose The Executive razor, which happens to be the one with the most blades. This initial razor package is $9 with free shipping and has 4 cartridges with 6 stainless steel blades and the actual razor handle that feels high-end because it's heavy. After that, every month you get 4 cartridges per month for just $9! That's more than half than what I was paying before!

Here are some pictures of what my razor came in and what it looks like:

It was a tiny package and it came with a sample. I haven't tried it yet, but I can definitely tell the blades are sharp. I'll put an update, or just announce it on my social media profiles which you can find me by the username: iamfelipa. My username is literally the same for each social media profile everywhere.

Would you guys get a "men's razor"? If you want a $9 razor or $6 for the 4-blade razor you can get yours here: http://shaved.by/dLOAs

Until next time,

Disclaimer: I purchased this subscription with my own money. All opinions are my own.

Ipsy April Bag Review

I got another Ipsy bag in the mail on Friday! My April bag was actually on time, unlike my March one, I also really like this one better. I feel like all of these are items I would purchase, except for the eye shadows (I'm not an eyeshadow girl to begin with).

Quick disclaimer: I pay for this subscription myself and no one is paying for my review on any of the products shown. Now if you would like to start your $10 subscription of Ispy, you can do so by clicking here: Ipsy Subscription.

Without further ado, here are this month's goodies:

This month's zip bag actually looks more for summer than spring, but I don't mind. I just hope I find a use for all the ones I'm sure to get.

This and another not pictured are by far my favorite products in this month's Ipsy bag.

I love masks of any kind and I've seen a lot of other bloggers and vloggers using these "sheet masks". This will be the first time I use this type but I've always heard good things about the ones Sephora carries.

Fortunate for me, I've actually heard of Pur-lisse brand. Two of them were included in the bag so I'll be using them really soon.

This super soft brush is exactly what I've been searching for to use for my banana pressed powder! I'm super happy this came in this months bag. I'm actually looking forward to more brushes in future bags.

This Ren Clean Skincare - Evercalm lotion is really creamy, and just a tad bit greasy. I'm not a big fan of when I get lotions in my subscription boxes. I have way too many!

I'm a fan of tarte so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that it was included in the bag. I'm a big fan of red colors for lipsticks. This one is very creamy and very pigmented. I would definitely consider buying the full size of this product.

As I said at the beginning, I'm not an eyeshadow person. I rarely wear any, but this palette is actually very pigmented and super soft. I'm not sure if I will ever use it tho. Also, I've never heard of this brand and the packaging is VERY cheap.

Those are all the items that were included in my April Ipsy Bag. I hope next month's bag has more masks, lipsticks, and brushes!

Until next time,

Matte Lipstick Review of Milani Cosmetics

I haven't blogged in a while because I've been busy with work and event planning. However, I'm back and with some new stuff to share. I stumbled upon Milani Cosmetics when I saw a bunch of YouTubers talking about the 2-in-1 Foundation/Concealer that Milani has created. I actually bought it and do love the full coverage it provides. So thumbs up to all the YouTubers for giving their review.

After browsing the CVS Milani display, I noticed Milani made matte lipsticks. However, they were completely out of them at my local CVS. So what did I do? I went on the Milani Cosmetics website and selected 6 colors.

You can see the color swatches on my hand in the picture below. The color order from top to bottom are #61- Naked, #68-Iconic, #69-Beauty, #71-Flirty, #73-Love, and #74-Darling.

You might not be able to tell from the photo, but these lipsticks actually don't dry out your lips like others can. I feel like NYX and Chanel matte lipsticks tend to dry my lips after a couple of hours of wear. These are VERY pigmented, but the best part, in my opinion, they don't leave that embarrassing lipstick chin stain like other brands' do. I've tried all six colors now, and they all go on very smooth which is something I appreciate from matte lipsticks.

The colors Love and Beauty are my favorites of the six. The Love stain is a very nice plum/brown combination that isn't extremely bold that you can easily pull it off in the daytime. Beauty is a nice neutral and what I call a soft brown matte lipstick. It's not as extreme as the Kylie brown lipsticks, but it looks great when you're rocking a bronze contour makeup look.

The packaging of the lipsticks are great, they look high-end and remind me of the Dolce & Gabbana packaging. They also fit in the acrylic makeup displays you see some of the beauty gurus on YouTubers use for their makeup. I have a few and love that they actually fit and display very pretty cause of the gold packaging.

All in all, I give my stamp of approval on these lipsticks and might order more soon. In the meantime, I think I'll give the Milani's liquid matte lipstick a try.

One last thing... They are only $5.99!

Until next time,
