Origins Skincare Review

The first time I was introduced to Origins skin care was through the generous people behind Influenster. I was sent their box of goodies which was an Origins X Influenster voxbox campaign.

I was actually really excited when I first learned I'd be one of the lucky bloggers/influencers to get to test some of the new products available for Origins. I'm a sucker for good skin care products! I am always looking for the "holy grail" face moisturizer, mask, eye, or cleanser.

When I opened my box of goodies, I first gravitated to the Clear Improvement - Active Charcoal Mask. I LOVE charcoal masks of any brand. What was different from this one to the previous ones that I have used, is that this one is a little runny and goes on your face feeling really light. Something I've never experienced before since most charcoal masks are super thick and gooey. This one dries just like any other mask, it makes your face stiff and in what I imagine to be what botox feels. I could not even move my eyebrows! After I had taken it off, my skin felt super smooth and fresh. I definitely recommend this product!

Since I tried the product at night, I went ahead and decided to try their new High Potency Night-A-Mins. Let me start off by saying this cream smells AMAZING! It smells citrusy but don't let that make you think it will sting your face. This is a Mineral-enriched renewal cream that they claim "works overnight to help skin resist 'pillow' creases." It's also meant to remove dry, flaky layers by revealing brighter skin texture and clarity. After a week of using it, my face feels softer than it has in months and slightly smoother. It's a must buy for me! I then finished off my night routine with the GinZing eye cream.

In the morning I used the GinZingEnergy-boosting moisturizer. This smells just as great as the night cream, this one is lightweight, oil free, and is supposed to jumpstart hydration levels. I have combination skin, so my t-zone can get oily, and the rest of the face is kind of dry. This cream actually did a good job of keeping my face fresh under the makeup I usually put on my face. I definitely recommend it, it's almost like a gel-like texture, but doesn't feel sticky which is a major plus in my book!

Finally, I eventually tried the Checks and Balances face wash - which I say compares to Cetaphil in my opinion. I did like but I'm just stuck with my trust St. Eves Peach Scrub, which I know people say it's rough, but it just makes me feel like my face is super clean after using it.

Last Saturday I was able to attend the #MyPerfectWorld Event thrown by Influenster and Origins and was able to get a free facial, tea leaf readings, and just to test out some of the others offered by the brand. I had lots of fun meeting fellow influencers and chatting up the sales women about the products.

I walked out of that store with my absolute favorite products after deciding to purchase full-size versions of the GinZing and Night-A-Mins creams! I think my next purchase will be their serum!

Have any of y'all used the Origins products before? If so, which ones would you recommend? Let me know in the comments!
