This is so my jam…

Have I mentioned I’m graduating in December?

As you all know, my blog is called, The Happening: The Ramblings of a College Student, I guess that will soon have to be changed to The Happening: The Ramblings of a Postgraduate.

I am so happy to officially announce that I graduate from The University of Texas at Arlington in about 8 weeks! Specifically December 14, 2013 at 7:00PM. After bouncing around from major to major, which incidentally started with Civil Engineering concentrating in Structural and Environmental Science, I finally settled with a major in Advertising and minor in Public Relations.

At the beginning of having just switched majors, it was PR major and Advertising as a minor and even at one point decided I was going to minor in French and history. I was/am one of the typical college students that not necessarily was undecided, but more on the "oh, I really enjoyed that class maybe I should minor in the subject." Honestly it went on like this for the first 2 years of my undergraduate career and would have proceeded with these minors, but major classes started conflicting with times. You're probably thinking French? Yes, I know French. I've been learning French for about 8 years. I can read, write, and speak it (speaking French is a slow process for me, I never was really good at speaking at a normal speed with French). If someone is speaking French to me I do know what they are saying, I'm actually 2 classes shy of a minor or 5 away from a major. You see how many hours I took now? Haha!

In my process of attaining my degree, I became a coffee addict. As I type this, I'm sitting here drinking a Venti White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks. Coffee got me through stressful mornings, cold mornings walking through campus, late night study sessions, and last minute research papers. It's a semi-expensive habit, but I'd say is a healthier habit than picking up smoking.

It feels like just yesterday that I was moving into A-Hall with my best friend Jessica, freshman year. Going to dorm parties, eating at Subway and Cick-Fil-A, and late night trips to 7-Eleven, because were hungry. Now, I'm worrying about getting a job after graduation. I, along with my fellow 2013 graduates will be the ones sending resumes to every firm, company, and agency.

Before I stress too much about getting a job, I will be stressing about classes, projects, campaigns, clients, midterms, finals, finding a dress for graduation, and graduate photos.

Until next time,
Felipa xoxo

Ever wanted to print those cute filtered Instagram photos from your iPhone, but then wonder where you can get square prints? Many places online are starting to offer the option of printing Instagram photos. The catch? You usually have to be on your computer and transfer your photos to iPhoto or whatever pictures folder your computer uses to store photographs. Or you can always email all those photos to your self if you want. I though heard of a company/app called PostalPix. You can get Instagram prints or even regular prints straight from your phone! I love it and the reason I'm writing about them is because I ordered some prints.

Yesterday I went to the State Fair of Texas again but this time with my best friends. We were there for about 6 hours and according to my Jawboune Up it said we walked for about 6 miles. That makes up for all the fried food we had. Funnel cakes, tornado fries, and way too many lemonades. I took a lot of photos with my iPhone in square mode and Instagram.

I've had photos in my phone for a while and decided it was time to get them printed like I mentioned above. These are the pictures that will be mailed to me once they are printed. All together there are 36 prints of 2"X2" squares printed on 4 sheets of film paper. It sounds small but they are actually big and are beyond cute. I have some already they I ordered a while back. I've yet to cut them and put them in a scrapbook. There just isn't anytime at the moment.

Here they are:

What to do on Sunday morning and afternoon? Explore the city, of course. It couldn't have been anymore perfect. The weather was pleasantly breezy and cool. My friends and I took turns taking photos in front of the American Airlines Center with the "BIG" signs that are posted throughout the city. Here is a look at the photos I took today.
