Saturday was the BIG day! Most of the immediate wedding party (the girls) were up from around 5-6AM. Most of us went down for an extremely early breakfast, followed by going back and forth between the bride's room and our own suites to get ready.
We were cutting it really short getting to the wedding. It actually wasn't the bride holding everyone up, it was the flower girl. In the end we made it to the church in time and had time for the photographer to take photos of the whole bridal party before the ceremony.
The day then proceeded to The Oasis on Lake Travis. It was a gorgeous wedding venue for the reception. The food was also just as great, with a great DJ, and a very nice bartender who gave me a free shot (top shelf), since the wedding had an open bar, and an Oasis margarita glass goblet as a souvenir. I'm pretty sure I like the grooms cake a lot more than the regular wedding cake, which was good, but very decadent. It was chocolate on chocolate on chocolate. Oh, and I also said a few words as maid of honor before they cut their cakes.
I can't wait until my cousin Ana and her new husband Joe get the photographs from the photographer! They selected the unlimited package and the wedding party was arranged in really cute poses! Also, the guys had superhero shirts under their tux's. It's something you have to see, and I will post those pictures once I can get access from them, or more my cousin can get access to them.
Until next time,
Felipa xoxo
Watch out for my next post on visiting the Texas State Capitol.
