It finally came in!

Or I should rather say, I finally ordered the necklace I have been coveting for a good while. Every since the Emma Roberts was selected to be a Guest Bartender, I have wanted this specific piece in the collection.

I'm talking about the Crystal Cleopatra Bib Necklace from BaubleBar!

I'm all about big over the top statement necklace. I have one similar in size to it from another brand. I don't wear too often, because it weighs like three pounds. This one however, although a bit heavy, it's still comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

I was at work when the necklace arrived this morning so I had to wait practically all day to open the package, which I must say, BaubleBar sure know how to seal their boxes! It was actually hard to open it. Or perhaps, it might have been that I was excited and impatient to opening it.

Here's a close up of the necklace:

I can't wait to wear this! This is only my second necklace from BaubleBar, my fist one was the Courtney Bib.

Have you every bought anything from BaubleBar? What do you think of statement necklaces over the top or is subtle more your style? Let me know in the comments!
Y'all this is exciting news!

I finally bought a full blown Digital SLR!

I've recently have been using my iPhone 6 and a Samsung Smart Camera (I'll use this for sporting events that don't allow DSLR cameras, except for the Texas Rangers). I also have a micro three-forths Olympus Pen Mini, but I'm not gonna lie, I dropped it so many times and lost the charger. I know bad, but if anything, the lenses on that camera are ridiculously priced! I'm talking $300+. Talk about a horrible investment on my part. I was an early adopter of the small compact cameras. It was a $600 camera, which is now marked for $200, but oh yeah, it's now discontinued and out of stock with very limited expensive lenses. NEVER AGAIN.

So, I finally made the decision and went and bought the Canon Rebel T5! It's one of the beginner series DSLRs out there, but for my needs it was fine. I've heard many photographers say that a camera isn't what makes the photo's look amazing, it's the way the photographer takes the photo. I'd like to say I'm an amateur photographer. I did take photo's at my cousin's wedding back in December with her Nikon DSLR, and were pretty decent. Here's the post of the wedding with the wedding pictures.

The camera was part of a kit. It came with the body and a lens that is an EF-S 18mm-55mm. I could have opted for the other bundle that had a second lens, but I saved money for another lens I really want, which is a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 Camera Lens; it's great for portrait, headshots, and the oh so important outfit of the day.

Here are some test photos that I have taken today:

The picture below was taken with my samsung camera and lighting from the iPhone flashlight. I read somewhere that if you didn't have one of those external flashes (not built into the camera) you can use the iPhones flashlight feature to direct light where you need it! Plus, you save money buy not needing to buy an external flash for the time being. I'll be slowly building my camera bag with all of the goodies! Slowly but surely.

What do you guys use for your picture taking needs? Have you invested in any lenses that you think I could use or would come in handy?

Let me know in the comments below! :)

Hi there readers!

Last weekend, I attended the Nordstrom's Beauty Trend Show thanks to the Dallas Blogger Collective and Nordstrom's at Dallas Galleria.

Host Gilbert Vera was so entertaining and had a great personality, even at 7:30AM! Yes, it was THAT early, but worth it.

I loved the looks the models wore as well as the makeup. The neutral colors were my FAVORITE! As well as the contouring trend. I still have yet to master this beauty trick, but I need to buy the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour and Highlight Kit, ASAP!

Besides looking at all the trends in fashion and beauty, we also received an AMAZING swag bag! Below are photos of the event and some of the goodies that were in the swag bag.

The great swag bag goodies! I was really in need of a new beauty blender too!

Are you into the neutrals, florals, or contouring? Or all of it?! Tell me in the comments!

Until next time,
Felipa xoxo
Have you ever needed to take notes but perhaps only had you laptop and low on battery? Or maybe you just need to take quick notes without lugging an extra pad or notebook with you? Well, you can now turn you laptop into a multipurpose use machine, in terms of a non-technical traditional kind of way.

In comes DrawAttention. What is DrawAttention?: It's a whiteboard sticker, for your laptop. Yes the product is real. Trust me, I own one. Wondering how this business started? Here's a little snippet from the products website:
"DrawAttention started when in November of 2014, Kyle made a whiteboard sticker for his laptop and posted a picture of it on Facebook. It exploded with likes, comments, and requests to buy one. That's it, that's all it took. He spent $13 on a domain name, whipped up a logo, and in 10 hours - built a site with e-commerce, analytics, social media, and email marketing."
Excerpt from:

How did I hear of DrawAttention's Laptop Whiteboard Sticker? Yeah... I actually work with one of the co-founders, Kyle Taylor. (The other co-founder is Eric Swayne).

I use my whiteboard sticker to jot down quick notes during my content marketing meetings at work, or whenever I have ideas for my personal blog or even just writing my daily schedule. I find it useful for using it on this very blog. Want an example? Take a look at this:

This is actually saving me time. Instead of going on photoshop or illustrator to draw arrows and adding words to products I'm displaying for this blog, I can already do it and not have to take all the extra steps.

How will you use yours? Blog, school, everyday notes? Let me know in the comments!

Hi there readers! If you have been following me on Instagram you might have noticed a photo of a new selfie stick that I was graciously given by ReTrak. I will say that I have a Bluetooth Selfie stick already form another company, but trying to keep my phone to stay and actually connect is the worst.

The ReTrak Wired Selfie Stick actually keeps my phone in place, without swiveling and the build in "remote" on the stick makes it easier with out carrying other accessories.

So what exactly have I used my Selfie Stick for? Because of it's expandability, it gives me a chance to get a closer picture and angle of my fur baby, Andy.

So as you can see, a selfie can be used more than just a device to take a selfie. Wondering how it looks? (That is an iPhone 6, just in case you were wondering the size of the phone).

Want your own selfie stick? You can win your own with ReTrak's weekly contest that they are hosting on the website (! Take your best selfie and maybe you can be enjoying your own selfie stick! Get creative!

Here's a little shameless selfie used with the ReTrak selfie stick:
